Florida - Day One
Sunday, February 3rd, 2008
Our first day in Florida was full of visiting with family (or family visiting us). Of course we were with Grammy and PopPop at their house. We brought Aunt Pru with us to Florida. Then my grandparents drove over to spend the day (and night) and they brought my Aunt Nancy with them. When it was about time for the Super Bowl to begin my brother's family came over too (Jim, Erica, Avery and Grace). It was a full house and everyone had a great time.
Zoe started the day off bright an early with a swim in the pool. I think she was in around 9am. At first she forgot that she knew how to kick around and swim wearing her float jacket. She spent a lot of time playing on the very shallow area until she finally happened to fall over the edge. She got pretty nervous and upset but eventually realized she was floating. From then on she would kick around yelling out "I doing it! I doing it!" She made sure to tell everyone around "Look PopPop, I doing it! Look Grammy, I doing it!", etc.
When Jim came over we all took our turns holding Grace. She's such a cutie. At a month old she's just over 7 pounds. Such a peanut. Zoe especially enjoyed having a turn holding Grace. I can't wait to see Zoe with her very own little baby sister.
After a little while Zoe was back in the pool... with Avery this time. They had so much fun... even when they both had little blue lips and chattering teeth.
One of Zoe's favorite things to do by the pool.... play "hockey". You and I may say it's golf she was playing... but she will insist it's hockey. I have no idea why she even knows what hockey is. All week long she enjoyed her "hockey".
We ended the evening watching the Giants win the Super Bowl. With a house full of Giants fans it was wonderful way to end the day.
